Brits eye 'the great work escape'

A new survey has revealed that many Brits harbour a very specific overseas dream....

The survey, carried out by recruitment experts Manpower revealed that many people in the UK would be willing to move abroad permanently for work reasons. Figures showed that:
53% of British employees would be prepared to fill a vacancy in another country
50% said they would want to come back home inside three years
More than a third of these people said they would see this as a permanent move

Mark Cahill, managing director of Manpower, observed:" Many UK workers would consider a move abroad for work to experience new cultures and to develop new skills.Most British businesses are unconcerned about the effect this would have on the local labour market because many are taking on people who have themselves left home in search of work in the UK."

According to another study by NatWest, more than eight out of ten Britons who now live overseas feel better living in another part of the world.
